Revolutionary War Monument - Reuben Bramlet

This native stone monument features a metal tablet with the following inscription:
"THIS TABLET IS DEDICATED TO THE MEMORY OF THE REVOLUTIONARY WAR SOLDIERS BURIED IN SALINE COUNTY, ILLINOIS REUBEN BRAMLET THOMAS HAMILTON MALACHI HEREFORD LEWIS HOWELL WILLIAM ROARK ERECTED BY MICHAEL HILLEGAS CHAPTER D.A.R. 1931".
The stone first was erected on the Saline County Courthouse lawn in Harrisburg, Ill., in 1931. The monument later was moved to Sunset Lawn Cemetery, Harrisburg, where it is currently located.
