Bramlette, died in Wilkes County, Ga June 10,1926 -
It shows her Father as John W. Hayden, Mother Miss Robin.
I belive this was the wife of Ebeneezer Shields Bramlett.
I will be glad to share this with any member of this
family.

unable to determine who Nathan married. I would think he
was married around 1800 in Laurens or Greenville Dist SC,after

Comments: I am the granddaughter of Mary Katholyn Bramblett. My grandmother's father Clifford William Bramblett b. October 12, 1894 in Ponoma, Montana and d. July 24, 1950 in Oregon. He married Mary Jane Lavender. As much as anyone can remember Clifford is the son of Ray Frank or Frank Ray Bramblett who died 1943 in Portland, Oregon and was married to Mary Matilda Brown, who died 12-11-1923. Comments: I am pleased beyond anything to have found this site, Mike. My Bramlette line is already recorded - and here I was stumbling around in old records, hoping for a morsel here and there to piece together. My closest Bramlette ancestor was my great grandmother, Francis Bramlette. Her father was MacHenry Bramlette, born in Va in 1830. Mac left Va when he was oyung and went to Texas. He fought in the Mexican American war at the Battle of Buena Vista under Col. Jefferson Davis, and MacHenry also fought in the Civil War. He lived in Texas the rest of his life. I had the chance to see his headstone for the first time in June 2000. It was quite a thrill. MacHenry's father was named Jesse Bramlett. Jesse was a son of Reuben Bramlett, and Reuben was a son of William Jr., the son of our common immigrant ancestor. Would enjoy hearing from anybody who shares any part of this line. I was looking for a daughter (Eliza S.) of my ancestor John Wesley Sullivan b. in 1811 in Ga. and I found her married to Elihue Bramblett in Murray Co. Ga. in abt. 1876. I can find no marriage record. Also for several of the Sullivan children that were married about the same time I find no marriage records. I have decided some records may have burned or were destroyed. In the 1880 census I found them living close or maybe next to John Wesley Sullivan and wife Nancy, in the Doolittle district of Murray Co Ga. The Eliza age matches Eliza Sullivan and in the 1900 census of Murray Co the childrens names match the brothers and father and mother names of the John Wesley Sullivan also in the 1880 the bith places Eliza`s Ga Ga SC matches as it should so I am sure the wife of Elihue Bramblett is Eliza Sullivan. This information will go in my records. I hope you agree with me. Thanks again for your great pages. I found Elihue Bramblett b. abt 1855 to be the son of Henry Newman H. Bramblett of Murray Co Ga. I found a reference online to a government pension filed by Mary Bramlett, mother of William Bramlett, alias William Barksher, in 1879. William Bramlett, alias William Barksher, according to the pension application, served in Company F, 6th Regiment, Tennessee Mounted Infantry, CSA, during the Civil War. William is William E. Bramlett, son of Garlington and Mary Bramlett who lived in Rhea Co., Tenn., in 1860 and 1870. Garlington died by 1870. Barksher may be his middle name? I'm not sure. Bramlett, alias William Barksher, isn't with them in 1870. Don't know if he died by 1870, but he definitely died by 1879, when his mother filed for that pension. I can't find any of this family in 1880 TN census on Mike's site. This is the important discovery: That name William Barksher connects William E. Bramlett and mother Mary to the Bible record we have for Sarah Bramlett and family. Sarah probably is the widow of Henry Bramlett. And Henry Bramlett probably is son of Elizabeth and William who had the royal land grant in what is now Laurens Co., S.C., in 1773-74.
