Lucy's brother Ambrose Green Bramblett married the daughter of Thomas and Sarah(Sally) King. Lucy is not listed with her family on the 1850 census. She is listed on that census with another family. Now I know them plus several generations beyond them.My father's name is Howard Clem Bramlett, (1928). He is the son of John Wesley,(abo 1884) and Susan (Lewis) Bramlett(abo 1888). John Wesley is the son of William Henry(abo 1840) and Elizabeth Bramlett(abo 1855) and the sibling of William, Henry, Ada (Ader?), and Bertha. William Henry is the son of John Wesley(abo 1795) and Elizabeth (Griffith) Bramlett(abo 1806) and the sibling of Margaret, Nancy W., Elizabeth, John Calhoun, Stephen Lewis, Cicero Taylor, and Hines Milton.John Wesley is the son of John and Mary (Peake) Bramlett and the sibling of William, Nathan, Margaret, Reuben, Nancy, Alcey, Millie, Rosa, and Mary.Is there anyone out there who could furnish information of the above listed lineage? And that something was a complete lack of Bramb***s in those two states for the census years 1900 thru 1920. It was a bad case of tunnel vision on my part. I was so focused on gathering data in the B-654 code that it completely slipped my mind to search the other codes for variations. Sorry 'bout that. I'll get right on it and correct my oversight. Also, one little thing concerning my great uncle Charles L. (Carter County, OK-1920)Bramlet. I thought it was Charles Lafayette too until I talked to his widow. It's actually Charles LaFolet. Though the spelling isn't the same, he was named after the famous "Fighting Bob" Lafollette of Wisconsin. All the best, Jim |
