Comments: Dana Clark from Gainesville, Ga. You just might be the person who can solve a mystery for me and others. I am the greatgranddaughter of Rueben and Harriett Harrison Swilling who lived in Forsyth Co. and were married there in 1846. I have researched many census records, tax records, church records etc. I believe James and Jane Bramblett of Forsyth County were your ggggrandparents were they not? James, James Riley, Martin Truman etc.? In the recorded history of Forsyth County I can only find 4 sons of James and Jane accounted but I believe they had 10 or 11 children - and my ggrandfather Reuben was one of them - other names might have have been Miles b. 1810, Joel b abt 1815, James Riley b 1818, my Reuben b 1820, Henry N.H. b 1823, Elizabeth b 1824, Laura E. b 1828 and Martha b 1835 - along with 2 other sons and one daughter for whom I have no names. I have been in contact with a couple of very good Bramlett researchers and they agree that the only proof on paper would be if anybody had a bible record or if a decendent out there somewhere has researched other family members and know of my Reuben. I have extensive info about the decendents of Reuben and Harriett Bramblett if anybody out there in cyberspace would like it. ANYTHING WOULD BE WELCOME.

Comments: Martin Truman Bramblett was my great-great grandfather (which I think makes William Bramlett, Sr. my ggggggg-grandfather. Nettie Bramblett Heard was my great-grandmother, who I had the fortune of knowing as a child before she died. I know that my grandmother, Evelyn Heard Pilcher, knows quite a lot about her grandfather. In fact, I have the picture of Dr. Bramblett's office (horse and buggy with Martin and his sons) in a frame given to me by my grandmother. I will share what I have learned with my mother and grandmother and see what information we have that you might be interested in. Great website! Thank you for so much hard work!

Comments: Re e-mail to Jim Bramlett from Dee Montano 6-14-99. Dolphus Bramlett was my grandfather and Jim's greatgrandfather. Rueben and Harriet Harrison Swilling Bramlett were the parents of Dolphus. I went out to Paris, Arkansas two years ago and found the burial site of your grandfather James Monroe (my great uncle). Did a lot of research while there - I've been in touch with Helen Hill who is a decendant of Emily Bramlett (daughter of James Monroe). I'm in the process of refining my research and plugging a few holes and will be glad to share with you what I have learned when I get it organized. In the meantime anything you care to send my way would be appreciated. James Monroe and John Walter are pretty well documented as to birth, deaths, cemeteries etc. Robert Cicero lived in another county so I know less about him. I know a little about Rueben and Harriett's daughters. They had an older daughter Cenith or Asenth that I have not been able to find any information about - if you have any I would love to share it - she is the first born and a mystery. If you share a mailing address with me I'll send you a few things......Do you have any old pictures of James Monroe and spouse? Harriett and Rueben?

Comments: I am beginning research on my great grandfather, WILLIAM AMBROSE BRAMLETT born in Arkansas or Missouri on October 1, 1862. The 1900 and 1910 census records show him living in Lawrence, County Arkansas. With his wife, Margaret Tennessee "Tennie" Mullen, he had 11 children, six of whom survived to adulthood and two of whom are still alive. William Ambrose Bramlett was apparently reared by an aunt in Arkansas named Martha Pennington. With his wife and children, he moved to the Wauchula, Florida area late in life and died there on February 26, 1932. We know absolutely nothing about his family but hope this site can help. It is very well done. Incidentally, I stayed at a bed and breakfast in Corinth, Mississippi several years ago named the Samuel Bramlitt house and merely assumed at that time there was no connection because of the different spelling. Now, I realize that was probably incorrect. It is a lovely home with very hospitable hosts.

Comments: Just upgraded my computer system allowing exploration of the Internet. Finding other Bramlett folks is exciting. I have a problem...my parents were Bertha Wilson and Eugene Franklin Bramlette, my paternal grandparents were Cynthia Barron and George Dolphus Bramblett, my paternal greatgrand parents were Harriett Harrison Swilling and Rueben Bramblet. I have information on the Swilling family but my search on the Bramlette family has a big gap...I know I'm a member of the Bramblett Virginia, South Carolina and Georgia families but determing just who was the father of Rueben has left a cold trail. He was born in 1820 in Georgia according to all the available records I've been able to find. I've examined Census records and he fits into the age group and location to be the son of James of Forsyth County, Georgia. He and Harriett have a history of being in Forsyth County in their youth and their marriage took place there in 1846 before they moved on to Chattooga County, Georgia and after the Civil War they (with the exception of my grandfather George Dolphus) moved to Logan County Arkansas. If there is anybody out there who might have a complete list of the children of James Bramblett of Forsyth County I would be very interested in hearing from you. There is a lot of information about the migration to South Carolina and then on to Georgia - just solid documention for Rueben is eluding me. Thanks - your Site is wonderful...

Comments: Hello, I'm just killing time between classes right now looking for Randall Bramblett websites, who is my father. I definitely get a kick out of having a celb for a dad. It wasn't too long ago that I remember my dad taking an interest in our family tree, as he has continued to do over the years, especially while touring in Europe. I'm afraid that I'm not too much help with history, but if you have any questions, don't hesitate!!!!!

Comments: My grandmothers maiden name is Juanita Fay Bramblett 1926-1999 Texas - California, her father was Oten Eldridge Bramblett 1891-1956 Arkansas - Texas, his father was William Lewis Bramblett 1851-1927 Georgia - Texas, and his father was Wiley Bramblette ?-1861. I have some information on decendants but am looking to fill in the holes and for ancestors. I don't see a direct connection to the tree on this site but I did find a sketchy reference to Oten and his wife in the death records section. If anyone has any information please let me know. By the way good site.

She is supposedly listed on one of the Cherokee rolls but so far I have been unable to locate her. The information I do have is this: -lived in either OK or TX -married Robert Dial -died in abt. 1918 (possibly due to influenza epidemic of 1918?) -had 2 children (my ggrandmother Evelyn (Dial) Morgan and an infant that died at abt. 6 mos. If anybody has any information whatsoever it would be greatly appreciated! p.s. love the site!
