James Monroe Esquire Govenor of the Commonwealth of Virginia to all to whom these presents shall leave greeting know ye, That by virtue of a land office Treasury warrant number eighteen hundred and eighty nine issued the fourteenth of April seventeen hundred and ninety six, There is Granted by the said Commonwealth unto James Bramblet a certain tract or parcel of land containing forty acres by survey bearing date the twenty fourth day of August seventeen hundred and ninety seven lying and being in the County of Bedford, on the head of Read's Branch a north branch of Goose Creek and bounded as followeth to wit, beginning at Bellemies? corner box ????, ???? along Fielding's line ..... to Campbell's line...... with its appurtenances to have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land with its appurtenances to the said James Bramblet and his heirs forever, In witness whereof the said James Monroe esquire Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia hath hereunto set his hand and caused the lesser seal of the said Commonwealth to be affixed at Richmond, on the eleventh day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and one and of the Commonwealth the twenty fifth,
