This Indenture made this third day of September In the Year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and ninety two Between Ambrose Bramblitt of the State of Georgia and County of Wilks of the one part and Thomas Thorpe of the County of Bedford and State of Virginia of the other part Witnesseth that the said Ambrose Bramblitt for and in Consideration of the Sum of Twelve pounds Current Money of Virginia to him in hand paid by the said Thomas Thorpe the Receipt whereof he the said Ambrose Bramblett doth hereby acknowledge have given granted bargained & Sold and by those presents do give grant bargain Sell deliver and confirm to the said Thomas Thorpe his heirs and assigns forever One certain tract or parcel of land containing One hundred and ninety five Acres Lying & being in the County of Bedford on the north branches of Otter River bounded as following to wit. Beginning at Bashers (Brashers?) corner.....to pointers in William Callaways line..........To have and to hold the above Land and premises with all the appurtances unto the said Thomas Thorpe his Heirs and assigns forever...........Witness whereof the said Ambrose Bramblett hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year above written.

At a court held for Bedford County the 26th day of December 1792 This indenture together with the Memorandum of Livery of Seison thereon indorsed was proved by the oath of Edward Bondurant and Lowell Ownby Witnesses whose names are hereunto subcribed And at a court held for Said County the 25th day of February following the said Indenture and Memorandum was further proved by the Oath of Jesse Crews another witness who name is thereunto subscribed and ordered to be recorded.
