Obituary of Ernest William Bramblett

Ernest William Bramblett, 78, of 402-A Bahan St., Taylors, died Thursday.

A native of Madison County, GA, a son of the late Tom [Reuben Thomas] and Mary [Elizabeth Powell] Bramblett, he was retired from Bahan Textile Machinery Company and a member of the Taylors Church of God.

Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Willie Mae B. Kimmell of Taylors and Mrs. Eloria B. Merritt of Tampa, FL; two sons, Buford E. Bramblett of Taylors and William C. Bramblett of Demorest, GA; an adopted daughter, Mrs. Betty Ann Edwards of Greenville; an adopted son, William Curtis of Greenville; two sisters, Mrs. Sallie B. Smith, Demorest, GA, and Mrs. Texie B. Simmons of Hollywood, GA; 20 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Services wll be at 2 p.m Saturday at Taylors Church of God on Taylors Road, with burial in Graceland Cemetery.

The body is at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.

Mrs. Lorena Jordan Bramblett, 74, wife of Ernest W. Bramblett, of 402 Bahan Road, Taylors, died Wednesday

Born in Oconee County, GA, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ivester Jordan, she was a member of the Taylors Church of God.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Willie Mae B. Kimmell of Taylors and Mrs. Eloria B. Merritt of Tampa, FL; two sons, Buford E. Bramblett of Taylors and William C. Bramblett of Demorest, GA; an adopted daughter, Mrs. Betty Ann Edwards of Greenville; an adopted son, William Curtis of Greenville; two sisters, Mrs. Grace J. Ballew of Heron, GA; and Mrs. Rosie J. Powell of Macon, GA; two brothers, Buck and Carl Jordan of Atlanta; 20 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Funeral plans will be announced by Thomas McAfee Funeral Home.
